about
This is the song we wrote and played for our brother Jason at his memorial service. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and was killed in Afghan war on September 20, 2012. He was 24 years old. He was an amazing man and an amazing soldier. We miss him dearly.
lyrics
Chorus:
May you find love, May you find peace
May you find everything you needed, But your heart could not receive
May you find comfort and acceptance in our father's loving arms
May you find love, May you find peace, May you find rest
Soldier boy, wandering far from home
Living out the life of your dreams
When suddenly, through the early autumn wind
You heard heaven calling your name
Said come home child, I'm ready to take you in
Come home child, thus sayeth the Lord
Chorus
I know it's hard to leave your babies and wife behind
Just know that we will never let them go
We will mourn for you a little every day
But we'll see you when our names are called
So go on home, he's ready to take you in
Go on home, thus sayeth the Lord
Chorus
